An old wise tale.
An old wise tale
A Native American Elder once described his own inner struggles in this manner:
Once he was sitting with his grandson and in front of the tent there were two dogs fighting, the grandson asked:
“Grandpa, one dog is enough to protect us but we have two and one is black the other one is white, can you tell me what is the reason?”
He smiled softly and answered,
“Son, when I look at these two dogs I remember human beings and dogs, they are symbols for me… Inside of us there are two dogs. One of the dogs is evil, the other is an angel.”
The grandson listened intently to his short tale, and with curiosity, he asked
“Which dog wins?”
After a brief moment of reflection he replied
“The one I feed the most!”
