Does the Quran curse the Jews?
Allah has no chosen nation, He has principles. Allah supports those, who keep His principles alive. Allah made the Jews superior, when they followed their messengers (The Quran, al-Baqara [2] 47, 122; ad-Dukhan [44] 32; al-Maida [5] 20).
But Allah cursed only those Jews, who didn’t believe in the messenger; revolted, denied, attacked and tried to kill him:
“…Allah has cursed them for their disbelief…” (The Quran, al-Baqara [2] 88. Also al-Baqara [2] 87, 88; al-Maida [5] 78; an-Nisa [4] 46). The word cursed (distract from mercy) is used 26 times in the Quran. If we inspect them one by one we’ll see that they are used only for behaviour.
Therefore, there is no cursed nation in the Quran. There are cursed bad morals, behaviour, mentality in the Quran.
