Evil does not come from Allah
It is claimed that evil comes from Allah. But the Quran does not accept this.
“Anything good that happens to you is from Allah (min-allah مِنَ اللّٰهِۘ ), and anything bad that happens to you is from you (min nafsike مِنْ نَفْسِكَۜ )…” (The Quran, an-Nisa [4] 78-79).
In the Quran, goodness is attributed to Allah in nearly 20 verses (e.g.: Al Imran [3] 26). The concepts of evil, cruelty and wickedness mentioned in hundreds of verses are not attributed to Allah, but to humans (e.g.: Al Imran [3] 180; al-Baqara [2] 216; al-Falaq [113] 4, 5; Fussilat [41] 49, 51; al-Insan [76] 7, 11; al-Isra [17] 11, 83; al-Ma’arij [70] 20; an-Nas [114] 4; an-Nur [24] 11; Sad [38] 62; az-Zalzalah [99] 8).
For the test, there must be good and evil. Allah creates both good and evil. But Allah does not want evil. It is his servants (humans) who cause evil.
