The Quran Does Not Accept Original Sin!
According to the Old Testament, the snake deceived Eve, and the woman deceived Adam. Thus, the woman caused the first sin to be committed (OT, Genesis 3:1-24). According to Christianity, it is accepted that all people descended from Adam and Eve are hereditary participants in this crime, and it is believed that every child born is guilty unless he is baptized (NT, Romans 5:12-21). God sent his own sinless son, who died on the cross as atonement for this sin. However, people will be freed from original sin by being baptized.
However, there is no verse or indication in the Quran that the woman committed the first sin (The Quran, Ta Ha [20] 120). Again, according to the Quran, the burden of sin is individual. Just as a person does not bear the sins of his ancestors, a crime committed by him is not carried by someone after him:
“And a sinner does not bear the sins of another…” (The Quran, Fatir [35] 18).
Therefore, there is no such concept as original sin in Islam. Sin, responsibility and repentance are individual.
