The Quran states that no one is guaranteed paradise
Some people claim that some are certain to be in Paradise. This claim is not valid in terms of the Quran. The following verses show that Allah Almighty does not guarantee any human (even the prophets) the paradise:
“Say: … I do not know what will be done to me or to you.” (al-Ahqaf [46] 9).
“We will certainly question those to whom messengers were sent and the messengers sent.” (al-Araf [6] 6).
“… (Addressing the Messenger of Allah:) If you associate shirk with Allah, know well that all that you have done will be in vain and you will be of the losers.” (al-Zumar [39] 65. Also al-Haqqa 44-47).
“…And do not die in any other way than that of a Muslim.” (Al Imran [3] 102).
As we can see, the Quran gives no guarantees to anyone. Salvation depends on one’s own efforts, deeds and intentions.
